I spent a large part of my career working in publishing, which meant I turned my hand to creating pitches, press, outdoor, radio, online (and the very occasional TV ad) for everything from major brand fiction authors (Ian Rankin, Jenny Colgan, Peter James) to Delia Smith, Top Gear, Ottolenghi and the record-breaking This is Going to Hurt paperback (over 150 weeks in the Top 10).
It was a great grounding in storytelling, working within design and adapting to different tones of voice, depending on the audience – not to mention a fast turnaround most of the time!
Since going freelance in 2018, my clients have included big corporations, start-ups, charities and independents.
I've got a wide frame of reference, covering film, music, literature and ads to interior decor, brands and charities. I also love to do research, if it's an area I haven't written about before.
I'm based in Bath, but happy to travel for a meeting. If it's a Zoom briefing, then you'll probably get to meet my two cats...
As a versatile freelancer, I’ve worked on everything from outdoor ads to packaging, pitches to newsletters. After chatting through your brief and the deadlines, I'll create the copy for your approval and am always happy to do revisions where necessary.
If you need me to liaise with designers or printers, then I can do that too!
